Yo, Brosia

DailyCandy: On today’s celebrity profile — the Design District. Great to have you, DD.

DD: Great to be here.

DC: Furniture. Designers. Art. Architects. You pack heaps of good taste into eighteen square blocks. How do you do it?

DD: It’s all about great people. When you look good, you feel good.

DC: Speaking of taste, tell us about your new restaurant.

DD: That would be Brosia, which opens next week, serving Italian, Spanish, French, Greek, and North African cuisine. Chermoula prawns with preserved lemons and tapas like piri-piri shrimp skewers with avocado couscous. Chef Arthur Artiles (Norman’s, Chispa) has been called a composer and a visionary.

DC: And the dining room? Visionary as well?

DD: Interiors by Walter Chatham. Mahogany and zinc, a 25-foot mirror over leather banquettes, and glass doors revealing a giant terrace shaded by 150-year-old oaks.

DC: On that note, we have to make like a tree. We’re outta time.
