Scenes from an Italian Restaurant

A bottle of red. A bottle of white. Whatever mood you’re in tonight, there’s Little Dom’s.

With the front room’s leaded windows, marble-topped tables, and handsome vintage bar, and the cozy back room’s framed ’50s black and white glamour shots and red leather booths, the place feels like it’s been your neighborhood spot forever. But the offshoot of much-loved Dominick’s just opened in Los Feliz.

Alongside classics carried over from the West Hollywood fave, like grilled artichokes, rice balls, and hanger steak, there’s much newness on the menu, including tuna crudo, grilled blue bass, baked tortiglioni with Italian sausage and roasted fennel, and torta della nonna for dessert. And instead of Sunday Suppers, Monday nights will eventually mean $5 pizzas and $2 beers.

Soon they’ll start breakfast and lunch at 10 a.m. with lemon ricotta pancakes, wood oven-baked frittata, and meatball sandwiches. And keep an eye out for the deli opening in about six weeks.

Until then, you might want to sing for your supper.

Or about it.
