Me Love You Long Time

When the moon hit your eye like a big pizza pie, you gave up wearing stunna shades at night.

A fresher look: Amore, the new resto and lounge opening at Plaza Midtown this weekend.

Owner Mansour Ismail (Ibiza) decked the place out Alhambra-style with mosaic tile floors, mezzanine balconies, and a central double bar (one side for the resto, the other for the late-night lounge crowd).

Chefs Daniel Hernandez (Timpano Chophouse) and Gabrielle Ballarrotto (Baraonda) hop around the globe to round out the Mediterranean menu with multimeat carpaccios, lamb kabobs, and a 25-deep pizza menu. (Grab one of six seats at the wood fire oven bar.)

Plan on staying awhile? Get there early, grab a cushioned seat on the floor in a draped-off booth, and enjoy predinner treats like dolmades and the occasional belly dancer.

Sound like a place where you could get into trouble?

Don’t sleep on it.

Amore, 950 West Peachtree Street, suite 220, Midtown (404-477-0404).
