Swear Like a Tailor

They say the devil is in the details.

And since gaping waistbands and botched hemlines are your own personal version of hell, you’d have to agree.

So keep tailor Judy Laguerre’s number on hand. Working from a tiny, tucked-away Fremont studio, the talented seamstress is the go-to girl for nearby boutiques like Horseshoe and Les Amis.

Laguerre knows her stuff: She went to fashion design school in her native Colombia and has been doing alterations for 35 years. No job is too small, from fitting bridesmaid dresses to resizing pants to shortening jeans using the original hem. She’s also one of the few in town who does leather alterations.

In addition, she’s quite possibly the nicest person on the planet.

Proving once and for all that the road to heaven is patched with good intentions.
