What’s Cookin’, Good Lookin’?

Daytime: steamed tofu, broccoli, carrots, and brown rice. Late night: Polynesian sauce, Texas Pete, honey BBQ kettle corn, and double fudge swirl.

Healthy living: killer after sunset.

Update your good-for-you repertoire with Kenna McGuire’s Everyday Healthy Food cooking classes.

The precocious college senior is studying nutrition at GSU. (Hate if you want, but she cooked, prepped, and catered for much-missed Toast before starting her own business.)

BYOB classes are held in the cottage kitchen behind Irwin Street Market and run the gamut from tomato-topped Not So Fattening Mac and Cheese to grilled chili burgers (who knew Publix sold buffalo meat?) and Better Than Chinese Takeout.

Other classes will cover freezable meals and sides: grilled jerk chicken, veggie meatballs, and oven-crispy sweet potato fries.

Yum. o.
