The Heatherette

Anne of Green Gables. Joshua Jackson. Degrassi: the Next Generation.

Thanks, Canada.

And thank you, Barneys, for snapping up Toronto designer Erin Kleinberg’s debut collection.

Would-be Mounties will go gaga for her cardigan top. Double-breasted with crystal buttons, it looks great in either black or gray Lyocell knit. (Sustainable translation: It’s made from wood pulp.)

You might be tempted to wear her tees to hockey games. A gray one has a single sequin chest stripe overlaid with tulle; another is cream with a leaf bead detail that mimics tailoring seams; all have perfectly slouched cuffed sleeves.

But Kleinberg, who interned for W fashion director Alex White before launching her line, prefers slinkier pairings with evening pants, skirts, and heels.

What’s not to love about that, eh?
