You named your pet rock Daley.
Clearly, you have a thing for Chicago.
Pay homage with screen prints from local artist Hiroshi Ariyama, whose Our City, Our Neighborhood series depicts local architecture and urban scenes.
Ariyama photographs local icons: Picasso sculpture, Sears Tower, El train, the Wrigley Building. During a silk-screening process, he rolls the images with layers of acrylic ink onto archival paper, adding unexpected bursts of color (bright orange skies, violet-shadowed skyscrapers).
Because Ariyama does everything by hand, no two are the same.
He will also make a custom print of your favorite spot.
Now that’s to Chi for.
Available at the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts, Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Broadway Street, between Belmont Avenue and Roscoe Street (lakevieweast.com); online at ariyamastudio.com.
