French Fancy

Ah, Paris: the city of love, baguettes and tiny dogs.

What better excuse to revisit those rues d’amours than the sproglets you made when you were last there?

Of course, they’ll need a little training before they tuck into a macaron or three, and that’s where Miss Louise Goes to Paris comes in. Written by Carolyn Hink and illustrated by Emma Calder, the delightful tale — the first in a series — charts schoolteacher Miss Louise’s Parisian trip as told through the eyes of an anonymous pupil.

The story is enchanting, with illustrations of Paris street scenes that’ll have you hopping on the Eurostar in a flash.

All in all, it’s eiffely good.
