Sweet Caroline
Caroline Hedaya Dresses

You managed to stay calm during Mom’s latest drunken interrogation on your state of singlehood. Nothing gets you ruffled.
Clearly you haven’t met Caroline Hedaya. The brainchild of two FIT grads, the line has stayed under the radar since its spring 2006 debut, but the fall collection is too good to keep to ourselves.
It’s all about ruffles. In a good way. The sophisticated, girly frocks are made of thick silk, making them more forgivable than that wispy material that shows every bump and lump. Slinky yet not slutty favorites include the navy minidress with black lace ruffles from bum to hemline, and the pale pink knee-length cocktail number with black lace ruffles down the chest.
Pair it with a shrunken bomber and booties when you’re feeling rockabilly; pretty pumps and a cardigan for a more demure look.
That should keep Mom mum.
