There are the Peter Pumpkin Eaters and Anna Bananas of the world.
But listing all the scrumptious sobriquets you’ve had makes you more than a mouthful.
Artist and blogger Kris Garland has fresh material. Inspired by puns on or associations with celebrities’ names, Garland stencils portraits using common store items. Her project Suspect and Fugitive refers to her questionable materials (suspect), which are nonarchival and often perishable (fugitive).
Pick up greeting cards of her most popular facsimiles. Alfredo Hitchcock makes the perfect salutation for a foodie or film buff. There’s a (Fake) Ham Solo and a Britney Spears of Cheetos. And our favorite, the Inigo Montoya, is made of Hello My Name Is tags.
Then check out the additional faces on Garland’s blog. You’ll find a rose by any other name’s never as clever as actress Rosalind Russell as Auntie Mame-onnaise.
Now that’s egg on your face.
