Get over to Reservoir, chef Gloria Felix’s (A.O.C., Grace, Blair’s) new place, opening tonight.
Now, don’t play it too cool. This is a nice neighborhood joint with a modern cabiny thing happening. Ask for a glass of red or white and start with fried tetilla cheese with caramelized onions or spicy mussels with grilled ciabatta.
What about arugula, prosciutto, manchego, and fried egg pizza, boss?
Fine. Whatever. But be ready for the setup — that’s what Felix calls the good side stuff like braised Tuscan kale with fingerling potatoes or farro and grilled asparagus. Order one of those plus scallops, a fourteen-ounce cowboy rib eye, or another featured dish and everything will be in place the way you want it.
Okay, boss. What about the chocolate plate or blood orange panna cota?
