Some letters are impossible to ignore. Like Gem Boutique owner Laura Kitsos’s Pica bronze cast letters. (Pica is a unit of measurement in typesetting.)

A fervid antiquer, Kitsos scours flea markets and salvage yards to find vintage letter charms, which she then casts in bronze and hand-finishes for a weathered, worn look.

The charms are equipped with 18-karat gold rings, so you can swap out different chains as you see fit. (Kitsos swears bronze goes great with silver and gold.)

In addition to letters, Kitsos casts ampersands and has plans for numbers one through nine.
