You know your ex’s pin number, who’s getting it on with whom and exactly when the new stock arrives in Topshop.
We know you love secrets, so we’ll let you in on a new one.
Friday sees the opening of a hidden speakeasy-style bar by Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling (of Kitts nightclub fame). Walk through an anonymous 1930s residential building to find a black door and a lantern. Ring a bell and the staff will decide if you enter this eclectic lair (although regulars will be granted key cards).
Once in, expect a montage of vintage Mickey Mouse wallpaper, retro televisions, trunks filled with costumes and Prohibition-era music. Food is reassuringly friendly (shepherd’s pies, lasagna, mac and cheese) and cocktails are classic.
But be quick. No doubt the word will be out soon.
