To Gracious Aunt Gracie, entertaining meant champagne cocktails, pressed linens, and calling cards. To you, it means beeritas, finger food, and anonymous hookups.
Miss the old days? So do Circa 77 owner Christina Shoto and local photog Kimber Berba. So much that they’re bringing them back with Vanity Stand, a service offering vintage photo booths for private parties.
Here’s how it works: Berba sets up a simple (usually black) backdrop. Shoto provides decor (disco balls, ’70s velveteen wingback chairs) and fashions (pillbox caps, fur stoles, dramatic jewelry). Guests ham it up while Berba photographs the antics.
You can print pictures on the spot or get them later on disc. The tab varies based on time, props, retouching, and image type.
Feel free to post them all over Facebook. Gracie would have.
