Roll with It

Screen queens are:

a) flamboyant airport security agents.
b) beauty pageant contestants turned online “operators.”
c) Oprah and Gayle.

Obvi, all of the above. Here’s another: the Dallas Cinemania Film Society.

The local group, which came into focus last year, screens cult favorites on big screens around town. Starting tomorrow, it will host a monthly series of movies shot in 35-millimeter film at Angelika Film Center.

First up: Invasion of the Bee Girls, a 1973 sci-fi thriller about female bees that slay men with their sexual powers. Hipster chick DJ Wild in the Streets will spin beforehand.

Next on the lineup is macho Marlon Brando western One-Eyed Jacks.

Spread the buzz.

Invasion of the Bee Girls, tomorrow, 8 p.m., at Angelika Film Center & Cafe, 5321 East Mockingbird Lane, suite 230, Mockingbird Station (214-841-4713 or angelikafilmcenter.com). Tickets $10; cash only. For more information, go to dallascinemania.com.
