Treasure Chest

If you tell Tedda Hughes that she has a nice rack, she’ll probably make you touch it.

Round second base (wardrobe-wise, that is) at her newly opened eponymous boutique-cum-art gallery in Nob Hill.

The painter and fashion designer prides herself on showcasing ethnically diverse apparel, accessories, art, and gifts created by socially conscious indie designers. Optic white walls come alive with artwork by locals Hilary Williams and Dk Haas, while laser-cut jewelry and handmade dolls provide colorful accents.

Pair a Helena de Natalio handbag with She-bible frocks, Miss KK peacock feather necklaces, and Atsuko Kudo legwear. Bust a move in spring wardrobe staples by Richard Ruiz and Society for Rational Dress.

You’ll definitely want more than a handful.

Tedda Hughes, 1623 Polk Street, between Clay and Sacramento Streets (415-694-0508 or teddahughes.com). Opening reception tomorrow, 7-10 p.m.
