Rainy Day Woman 206

They’ll stone you when you’re trying to look so good. They’ll stone you just like they said they would.

“They” being L.A. clothing designer Jesse Kamm and New York accessories gem Elizabeth Yarborough. Both have wooed the fashion world with their individual collections and will debut La Pietra, their geology-inspired, limited-edition collaboration, tomorrow at the opening of the new Pulp Lab.

Influenced by Istanbul’s limestone architecture and Byzantine marble, Kamm hand-prints designs representing stratified mineral compositions and geometric pebbles on fabrics cut to look like pure rock and roll.

Yarborough, who is known for her dramatic necklaces and chunky bracelets, brings earth tone marbling to intricate yarn bangles. The layered fibers approximate a vibrant geological record quaintly wrought on the wrist.

Everybody must get stoned. Our sediments exactly.

Artist reception, Saturday, 2-8 p.m., at Pulp Lab, 5402 22nd Ave NW (206-706-7857 or pulplab.com).
