Been Around the Blocks

your moment of zen!

If your daily countdown to wine time is any indication, Zen living is easier said than done.

Best to start teaching balance early. Our method of choice: Zen blocks.

Inspired by his niece and nephew’s patient stacking of rocks in the front yard, woodworker Mike Peck turns scraps from his furniture business into stones.

The uneven yet architectural blocks come six to a set (with an extra or two thrown in for good measure) and are crafted from urban harvested woods (black walnut, maple, and lyptus). They are so beautiful you’ll want to leave them out on the mantel instead of hiding them in a toy box.

It takes a steady hand and focused mind to build a tower or construct an arch with these devils. One wrong move, and it all comes tumbling down.

Just try not to let it rock your world.
