After the pink slip, you became a professional guitar hero.
Twentysomethings Tasha Green and Mauricio Quezada beat to a different drum.
When Men’s Vogue folded last year, the former staffers set up fashion label Hester. After a successful first season, the vintage-inspired collection expands to twelve looks for fall, where structured shapes and classic tailoring combine to create prim blouses, airy wool (from a fabric mill that supplies Chanel) numbers, and classic ’60s shifts.
To spread the word, the pair is embarking on a cross-country trunk show from New York to Seattle. On Saturday, Green and Quezada will pit stop at V.O.D., where they’ll style shoppers and take preorders.
Then it’s back to the road for their next tour appearance.
Talk about real rock stars.
Trunk show, Saturday, noon-6 p.m., at V.O.D., 2418 Victory Park Lane (214-754-0644 or vodboutique.com).
