We all love a good comeback.
Especially when it centers around booze.
Time to root for Swirll Winery and Wine Bar.
The downtown watering hole has quietly reopened with a new outdoor patio and chef, whose small plates menu includes cheese flights, DudeSweetChocolates, and bruschetta trios (herbed goat cheese, dried cherries, and walnuts; prosciutto, blue cheese, and apricot preserves).
Still around are the 50-plus Texas wines as well as Swirll’s 30 varietals, crafted on-site using grapes from around the globe. The operation is also continuing its wine-making service, in which customers design a batch of vino (about 28-30 bottles), selecting everything from fruit to snazzy labels.
Oh, the sweet taste of victory.
