Between Xeroxing your ass and Wite-Out manicures, it’s a miracle you haven’t been canned yet.
Best to steer clear of office hijinks — unless you’re someone like local designer Lauren Manoogian.
Her line of jewelry, Manu, is cleverly composed of dozens of paper clips. She covers them in colorful vinyl, then arranges them in angular shapes like triangles and hexagons. Some are simple, while others drape over the torso in complex kaleidoscopic patterns.
A degree in textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design and a background in knitwear have clearly helped hatch her cryptic, time-consuming process. Next up, she’ll incorporate leather, drinking straws, and sundry other items to her pieces.
No telling when she’ll lay off.
