Your lips would never forget that night with the robust Italian. But sadly, you just didn’t speak the same language. (Bone a Sarah?)
Make your next full-bodied encounter more fruitful with Dino’s just-debuted custom wine classes.
Gather a group of friends (between six and twelve people) and choose a theme or region; charismatic owner and oenophile Dean Gold then narrates a flight of up to six wines — regaling you with history and personal anecdotes about tiny wineries. (The restaurant provides bread and cheese or pairs appetizers, too).
Those who don’t want to gather a posse can try open group classes — where, like the private sessions, you’ll learn to talk the talk for the cost equivalent of two glasses of wine.
No telling how you’ll make out.
Available at Dino Restaurant & Enoteca, 3435 Connecticut Avenue NW, at Ordway Street (202-686-2966 or dino-dc.com). Reservations required.
