Dearly beloved, we are gathered today to mourn the loss of Billy’s stuffed animal.
Mr. Jollybear went missing somewhere between the mall and grandma’s house. He was mangled, matted, and had only one ear, but his disappearance is tragic.
If only Billy’s parents had known of LostMyLovey, the new online service connecting kids with plushes (and toys and backpacks) gone astray. For no charge, you can post a description and a photo of an AWOL item, which then gets sorted by type and state. Anyone who stumbles upon an out-of-pocket plush may do the same.
Let our spirits be lifted by the site’s replacement section, where you can network to find replicas of true goners. And praise be to ID tags; for a nominal fee, you’ll receive coded labels to attach to treasures. The finder alerts the owner by entering the code online.
Now our fuzzy friends can walk with us again.
Hallelujah.
