You get freaky with the barback after last call. And watch Dexter reruns like a fiend.
Nothing wrong with a good buzz.
Just ask Greg Fischer, owner of Chicago’s Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery, who crafts ecofriendly mead from honey harvested via beehives on the city’s rooftops and lakefront.
Varietals include hibiscus, pom nectar, hot apple cin, wild organic mulberry, raspberry peach, blueberry, and coffee. Sweet Desire, his bourbon cask aged mead, has already earned oohs and yums from vintners around the globe.
When it comes to wine, Fischer also thinks outside the barrel, concocting flavor profiles like green apple riesling and chocolate raspberry port.
Taste Wild Blossom at local restos like Karyn’s Cooked or Moto. Or try your hand at making it yourself — Fischer hosts weekly wine-making classes here.
Call yourself a hive roller.
