First there was the scrunchie. Then the Topsy Tail. We won’t even address Bumpits and EZ Combs (such atrocities belong in QVC outcast land). Quit being a head case and start keeping it classy with statement-making headwear from Lauren Nicole Accents.

Chicagoland native and Syracuse fashion design student Lauren Kessler outfits her high-fashion bands with diaphanous strips of silk charmeuse, chiffon, and lace. Vintage-inspired beading and raw-edged floral clusters add Chanel-like embellishment. Wear them conventionally or go boho (they double as bracelets and belts).

Internships at Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta give Kessler serious style cred. So follow her lead and refrain from further embarrassment. Capiche?
