Stylin' and Profilin'

wintercheck sunnies!

You’ve carefully calculated your most photogenic angles: Chin tilted 45 degrees. Arms akimbo. Feet perpendicular.

But sometimes a simple profile shot is best.

Kristen Wentrcek, the brains behind design studio Wintercheck Factory, thinks so. Her latest creation is a pair of his and hers sunglasses whose highlight — a plastic shield modeled on safety glasses dug out of a Bushwick bargain bin — is best viewed from the side.

The shop class specs have been shrunken into classically cool Wayfarer (Lizzie) and aviator (Jon) shapes, and updated with pistachio- or smoke-tinted lenses and colorful hand-dipped urethane arm coatings.

Each pair is impact- and scratch-resistant, and only $45 a pop.

It’s one look you can afford to play around with.
