We all know the rule for baring flesh: expose one body part at a time. But what about on the beach — when everything is on show?
Violet Lake Swimwear, a new range of bikini separates from Stella fashion editor Ursula Lake, provides comfort for the uncovered. With four interchangeable tops and bottoms in eight different colours, the line has a dizzying 1,024 possible style combinations (really, we did the math).
Lake got tired of finding rails of bikinis that were a game of two halves, so she conjured up pieces to address every type of body issue — from gathered bandeau tops that boost small cleavage to self-tie bottoms that slim wide hips. Made of super-slinky Jersey Lomellina from Italy, most pieces have adjustable strings that help them further adjust to your body.
Each item is named after a Bond girl (we love the Domino and Galore). Because, we suppose, there’s no harm in dreaming.
Available online at violet-lake.com, (£40-£47).
