Online fashion boutique The Moon and Mars will keep your closet well-travelled, if nothing else. Kate Barrett — environmental scientist-turned-shop owner — stocks her Edinburgh-based digital destination with a curated selection of indie designers and international fashion books and magazines.

Souvenirs on offer include lightweight tissue-cotton day dresses from L.A. label Seneca Rising, Swedish clogs and Danish designer Stine Goya’s softly tailored sky motif pieces. We’ll be pretending we spent the summer in Paris in Surface to Air suede summer boots and butter-soft leather shorts, with a copy of French fanzine Fake Real to prove it. As far as holidays go, it’ll be out of this world.
