Let’s not pretend anyone pulls off that effortlessly cool festival look without putting in a lot of effort. Here’s our checklist of essentials when packing for outdoor summer fun.

1. DuWop Bronzing Moisturiser (£27) can be used on your face and body and will disguise a pale, partied-out complexion, while cure-all balm Pommade Divine (£17) is a handy way to repair chapped lips, cracked skin, stings, scratches and bruises.

2. Be prepared for anything (rain, paparazzi, bumping into Kate Moss) in a pair of bright yellow croc-print Jimmy Choo for Hunter Wellington boots (£255).

3. Remember fun moments (and delete bad ones) on a handheld high-def Flip camcorder (£130).

4. Keep the sun off your face with an Anthony Peto trilby (£110). Add an Ebony and Ivory panel scarf (£250) to brighten up your look (or double as a sarong or head scarf).

Trust us, it’s the more dignified option. (While we’re on the subject, loo roll is like gold dust; get yours from The Designer Toilet Roll Company and hope that no one steals it.)
