What? No, that’s a normal size toadstool Pozgay’s holding.
Enough of the he wears/she wears debate: Whitney Pozgay, 29, has struck the perfect balance of tomboy sensibilities and feminine silhouettes with Whit, her fall 2010 debut collection. The former Kate Spade and Steven Alan women’s wear designer pulls off playful unions like full skirts in masculine fabrics and whimsical, circular gathering on a simple shift. Hints of ’60s Mia Farrow and French children’s book character Madeline are made modern by clean lines and an irreverence for fancy dress — we get behind any gal who accessorizes a gold lamé skirt with Buddy Holly reading glasses and can rock a fork-shaped headpiece.
