You met your husband on JDate. Spread the good word about your pregnancy on Facebook. So it’s no surprise that the arrival of your internet progeny will be broadcast on the world wide web.
Nursery Notice, a new site for web-based birth announcements, takes the tedium out of the paper variety — it’s like Evite and Tiny Prints had a baby.
Simply choose one of the 25 designs and input the essentials (name, date, time, weight, length, and proud parental units). Next, create a photo gallery with up to fifteen of your favorite snapshots (some designs even incorporate pics on the initial page). Finally, import your contacts from your e-mail accounts (everything from Gmail to Hotmail), select your recipients, and send the good news on its way.
The standard package ($34) will keep the link active for one month and includes a private guest book where friends and family can respond with well wishes and unsolicited advice. You can also use the announcement’s unique URL on its own — you know, to post on your Twitter account.
Available online at nurserynotice.com.
