Time to get your toes done up with your fingernails matching.
Marie Nails
Sometimes your nails have to walk into the room before you do. Rhinestones? Please. Try bejeweled bow ties with purple and black polka dots or a pedicure that leaves each toe resembling a strawberry. Check out the Calgel ($35) — it lasts two to three weeks and can be removed at home by soaking your digits in nail polish remover.
Rob/B OPI Concept Salon
For a mean quickie, pop in for the mini service ($15), which includes a polish removal and application, moisturizing lotion, and quick dry to get you out in twenty minutes. If you’re sporty, we recommend the endurance pedicure ($60). It stays put through volleyball, soccer, or any other games you like to play.
Extremedys 2012
Get saucy in the West Hollywood salon with the Minx ($55). Sheets of nontoxic, nondamaging coverings adhere to the nail with heat and don’t require a base or top coat. It has zero smudging, so there’s no waiting around for them to dry while you’re forced to watch Sex and the City reruns. If you’re craving texture, take in a piece of lace, fabric, or even glass, and the technicians will incorporate it into the manicure.
Polish Parlor
The charming, French boudoir-inspired space uses L.A.’s own Persephenie scents, soaks, and lotions made in small batches especially for the salon. While you’re being treated, scan the local, indie art that’s for sale. The classic manicure is just $18, and the supreme (including an oil scrub, paraffin treatment, and massage) tops out at $35.
Recess
Take your light carbon footprint over to the West Hollywood spot, where you’ll get the best all-natural treatments around. There are more than 400 polish choices, so prepare to face a wall of color. The LEED-designed salon uses its own products for scrubs, lotions, soaks, and oils — naturally.
