Holyfood Indian Takeout and Delivery Launches

Authentic Indian Food (Without the Tummy Ache)

holyfood indian takeout!

We are a nation of Indian-food lovers, yet no one speaks up when raisins and pineapple appear in our curry (that’s not how they do it in India, people). For authentic Indian in London, you need to bag an invitation to an Indian mother’s house in Southall.

Or you could get Holyfood, a new range of takeout launched last week by Amrik Dhaliwal and American partner Ron Kastner. Tubs of classic dishes inspired by Punjabi family recipes (less ghee, oil and cream) are made using free-range meat and local vegetables by chefs in Notting Hill. The chicken and lamb karahi with naan, chapatti or coconut rice (and crunchy carrot or tangy lemon pickle, if you like) tastes like it should. Castner recommends the lamb koftas, while Dhaliwal loves the vegetarian red lentil dal.

Delivery is available to some parts, as is catering. Throw a party, order Indian and invite all your new friends.
