Anticipated restaurant from longtime Ethan Stowell collaborator Patric Gabre-Kidan opens in a converted — you guessed it — book construction site on the north end of Queen Anne.
Why: Chef Shaun McCrain’s résumé already lists three Michelin-starred restaurants — Les Élysées du Vernet (Paris), Per Se (New York), and Michael Mina (San Francisco).

Totally Crushing with the Vis-à-Vis Society
What:
Literary performance duo Sierra Nelson and Rachel Kessler kick off Arts Crush week by administering poem surveys on the physical/emotional state of — what else — a heart-pounding crush.
Why:
The findings will be presented via music, dance, and graph chart.

Part of Silent Movie Mondays’s crime spree series, the 1928 film follows one woman’s dramatic escape from an evil stepfather and her meeting with a dashing hobo (plus, the train hopping, car stealing, and police evasion that ensue).
Why: Director William Wellman won Hollywood’s very first Oscar.
