Last week we took a walk around Wicker Park in a feeble attempt to soak up the last of the season’s vitamin D. Instead, we got a dose of something even better: Trillium, a new neighborhood boutique.
Owner Erica Cook honed her skills at Tangerine and Shopbop, so she knows the fashion ropes. She stocks Trillium’s racks with preppy classics that have a tomboy edge: Steven Alan button-downs, cashmere wraps from Vince, striped Joie tunics, and buttery leather bombers and leather-adorned peacoats by Mackage.
Huntress-inspired J.W. Hulme bags have us all hot and bothered. Katie Waltman’s geode rings sparkle like a ray of sunshine. Twinkle’s tiny tulip dresses are timeless. Joie lace-up boots are perfect for kicking SAD’s sorry ass to the curb. Sound good? We’re just warming up.
Trillium, 1744 West Division Street, between Wood and Hermitage Streets (773-698-8162 or trilliumchicago.com).
