Dress for Success
What: Drop off new or nearly new professional clothing to the nonprofit, which offers work attire, career development, and confidence boosts to low-income women in more than 75 cities worldwide.
Why: Those Ann Taylor suits in the back of your closet aren’t doing anyone any good.
When: Second Sat. of every month, 9:30 a.m.-noon.

The Colleagues
What: Donate designer clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, and upscale home furnishings to the 60-year-old foundation to resell at its vintage store.
Why: Proceeds benefit the Children’s Institute, which helps children who have been exposed to abuse, violence, and other trauma.

KCRW
What: Get rid of that old clunker in your garage. While you’re at it, ditch your boat, motorcycle, motor home, and airplane. Yes, your airplane.
Why: Tax write-off and KCRW Fringe Benefits card for you, plus the funds support the public radio station’s independent music, culture, and public affairs programming and NPR news.
