The Dandelion Opens
What: If you weren’t invited to Will and Kate’s wedding, console yourself with fish-and-chips, hearty soups, and other Brit-inspired pub fare at Stephen Starr’s latest eatery.
Why: A traditional afternoon tea service (coming soon) with cakes, scones, and biscuits makes commoners feel like royalty.
When: Mon.-Thurs., 5-11 p.m.; Fri. & Sat., 5 p.m.-midnight; Sun., 5-10 p.m. (Hold tight for brunch and lunch hours.)

RECYCLE
Holiday Treecycling
What: Instead of tossing your fir out on the curb, strip it of its finery and drop it off at one of many locations throughout the city.
Why: Wood chips get sprinkled on dog runs, parks, and community gardens. (It sure beats a landfill fate.)
