Ambit Collection and Accessories Launches

A Driven Design Duo from Brooklyn

ambit clothing new york!

We’d like to say Amber Jimenez and Wray Serna are ambitious.

But seeing as the Brooklyn design duo’s new line started out as a side project, we’ll call them Ambit and leave it at that.

The ladies’ debut is small yet cohesive with a deceptively simple, body-conscious, and demurely sexy vibe. (Think ’90s minimalism minus the stringent lines.)

High-rise, side-zip shorts pair perfectly with a cropped silk tank or black semi-backless dolman top (buttons run nape to shoulder blades). A flower-print scoop-neck leotard can be worn tucked into a full chiffon skirt (our favorite piece). For color, slip on the lava red, calf-grazing panel shift.

Clothing is made to order, but if you’re antsy, chapeaux of woven pewter-blue paper or cream straw are ready now (Jimenez’s day job is with milliner Albertus Swanepoel). Cast antler necklaces and cuffs round out the accessories. (Note: One spectacular pink turban is also at Light Vision.)

Proof they’re bound to succeed? Help from the pair’s Kickstarter fund promises an even larger collection come fall.

Available online at ambit.bigcartel.com, $108-$418.
