Chris Benz knows how to make a woman feel pretty. At his presentation at Lincoln Center on Monday, his models looked ethereal in bright colors and florals.
The orange dress was a standout in the room. Our eyes went straight to it.
Sheer fabrics are ubiquitous for spring — and Chris Benz’s take was among our favorites.
Benz, always the ray of sunshine, laughed with models beforehand. If he was nervous, it didn’t show.
By spring 2011, we predict pantyhose will replace kneesocks. Also worth noting: the wide-leg pants at left.
Many of Benz’s looks — especially the cardigans and collared shirts — felt schoolgirl with some country club grandma in the mix. Very ladylike and wearable.
The photographers elbowed each other (and us) for space. Everyone wants a piece of Benz.
Models looked healthy, happy, and beautiful. Some even smiled and danced to the perfectly picked music (Peter Sarstedt’s “Where Do You Go to (My Lovely)” and Voxtrot’s “The Start of Something”).
The brilliant use of color continues.
Kelly Osbourne snaps pics of the collection.
Benz poses with Jessica Szohr and Brad Goreski. Also spotted: Susan Sarandon, Denise Richards, Carmen Electra, and Alison Pill.
Benz collaborated with Alejandro Ingelmo on shoes for the collection. We saw — we think — eight pairs total, ranging from woven wedges (shown here) to peep-toe, lace-up oxfords.
