Our Correspondent SuChin Pak Gets a Private Tour at Christie's

There’s just no question: Elizabeth Taylor was the most glamorous person to ever grace the face of the Earth — period. That’s why, when DC correspondent SuChin Pak was at Christie’s this past Monday for a Women at NBCU event, we had no choice but to ask for a private tour of the treasures currently up for auction. We’ll take one of everything, please.

For more information about the auction, go to christies.com.

SuChin Pak's 5 Questions: Emeli Sandé

SuChin Pak's 5 Questions: Emeli Sandé

The Scottish songstress tells us what we want to know

It takes balls to cover Queen Bey.

Singer/songwriter Emeli Sandé, who sings “Crazy in Love” on the Jay-Z produced Great Gatsby sound track, doesn’t need ’em: Her voice is unreal (and her hair is pretty slick, too).

In today’s 5 Questions with SuChin Pak video, Sandé tells us what’s changed since she’s become a star (her song “Next to Me” is everywhere), what she sings in the shower, and the best advice she’s ever gotten. She even sings the first lyric she ever wrote, at age 7, about aliens.

In case you’re wondering, the interview takes place at JFK, as Sandé joins the ranks of Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, and Robyn for JetBlue’s Live from T5 concert series.

These girls run the world.

Sandé’s album, Our Version of Events, is available at itunes.com, $8. Want more 5 Questions? Check out our interviews with supermodel Coco Rocha and nutritionist-to-the-stars Kimberly Snyder.

Inside Story: Lele Sadoughi

Inside Story: Lele Sadoughi

The jewelry designer shows us her place

Fact: Some people have more hours in their days than the rest of us.

Designer Lele Sadoughi sits among these unicorns: She started J.Crew’s jewelry division, heads it up at Tory Burch, and launched her own collection for Spring 2013. And she had a baby a month ago.

In today’s Inside Story, we took of a tour of Sadoughi’s Greenwich Village pad, from the thousands of pieces of costume jewelry to table settings fit for a queen. The coolest part? Almost everything is from flea markets and eBay (she even divulged her search terms).

While we were there, Sadoughi gave us a peek at her fall collection, and it’s just as vibrant and colorful as the rooms she inhabits.

If, that is, she’s a real person.

To shop Sadoughi’s collection, go to lelesadoughi.com. To watch more home porn, check out Heidi Merrick’s hideaway in the hills, Rebecca Minkoff’s colorful loft, and Lela Rose’s Manhattan mansion

In the Kitchen: Oyster Tutorial with Maison Premiere

How to shuck and eat 'em

We’re not sure if oysters are aphrodisiacs, but (in the name of science) we’re willing to eat hundreds to find out.

The fruits of our labor: an In the Kitchen video with Lisa Giffen, executive chef at Maison Premiere in Williamsburg, who shows us how to choose, shuck, and eat (slurp or fork?) an oyster.

The restaurant is our favorite place in the city for bivalves, especially once its paradise of an outdoor space opens (which will be in two to three weeks or “as soon as everything’s in bloom”).

Even our editor who swore off oysters fifteen years ago came away wanting more.

That’s what he said.

Maison Premiere, 298 Bedford Avenue, between Grand and South 1st Streets (347-335-0446 or maisonpremiere.com). Hungry for more? Check out our videos on drinking Scotch, making fish tacos, and cooking a juicy burger. And, by all means, vote for us to win a Webby.

When Should I Follow a Guy on Twitter?

When Should I Follow a Guy on Twitter?

Ask the Office Guy No. 47

You may remember our office guy, Dan (exceedingly handsome, answered burning relationship questions). Well, his dog, Puppy, was spotted by a talent agent, and they moved to Tinseltown.

So we embarked on a manhunt. Introducing the new and improved Ask the Office Guy series, in which we approach (adorable) men who work at our favorite companies and ask for their advice.

First up is Mashable’s editorial director, Matt Silverman. Today he tackles three hard-hitters: When should I follow a new guy on Twitter (above)? What are the red flags when dating online? And, finally, are you single?

We were so smitten with Silverman that we got him to film three more videos, which we’ll publish in our next installment.

After those, we’ll have guys from Foursquare, Yahoo, and who knows.

Maybe even a few from Hollywood.

Want more advice? Check out our original office guy’s tips on flirting, when to text a guy after a date, and what to do if you’re dating a dude with a rattail. Got a question? Email theofficeguy@dailycandy.com. Follow Silverman on Twitter at @matt_silverman and @mashable.
