Frolic Play Space

Having kids may have rocked your world. But a new spot is going to show you how to roll with it.

Music-minded parental units take note: The Brooklyn waterfront is about to welcome a new rock ’n’ roll-inspired play space called Frolic.

Not your average padded indoor playground, Frolic’s Technicolor landscape includes a restored 1970 VW bus, a concert stage complete with backstage lounge, and a Rolling Stones-inspired tongue slide.

Choose from unique courses like Tiny Dancer, Tiny Tumbler and Paint It Black … or Blue or Yellow. The signature music program (created by local kiddie musician Tim Kubart) has a live band at every class. Need more attention? Sign up for one-on-one lessons in guitar, piano, and drums.

Members can take advantage of a trippy custom video wall installation called Creature Symphony (from the same great minds behind Moomah’s Funky Forest).

Doors don’t open until January 9, but we’re already groupies.

Frolic, 34 North 6th Street, between Kent Avenue and the East River (frolicplayspace.com). Yearly memberships start at $69 per month.

Make Meaning
What: Head to the crafting emporium’s new UES location for some last-minute, highly personal presents.
Why: Options include soap, candles, jewelry, ceramics, and cards.

BariBelly Prenatal Workout
What: The studio introduces a program for fitness-focused preggos, drawing upon elements of Pilates, yoga, sports, and more.
Why: Twice-weekly classes ensure you remain “all bump.”
