the insider's guide to all things mini in your city
What to expect? The scoop on everything fun, fashionable,
and cool for under-8 crowd (and their parents).
No offense, Kenny Rogers, but you don’t know when to fold ’em.
To wit: Foldschool, the downloadable DIY cardboard furniture project you can make with your kids. Just trade your cards in for cardboard (we know it’s hard) and make your own child-friendly stool, chair, or rocker.
Here’s how it works: Print out the free pattern and follow the online instructions. Paste the paper on the cardboard, cut out the shape, and punch holes in the crosshairs. Then fold and glue everything into your finished product.
Now, that’s the simple version. Every piece indicates the level of difficulty and amount of time needed.
But if you do a good job, the furniture will actually be quite stable.
And not, you know, just a house of cards.
