Mattress: (rolling her coils) What now, Pea? You’re so irritating!
P: You’re way too thin. The new baby will detect me too easily. How will her parents know whether she’s a true princess?!
M: You’re kidding, right? Just take a look at this bedding. All these vibrant colors and prints layered into a rich, festive mix. You don’t think they’d trick me out like this for a mere pleb, do you?
P: I do have to admit that Meadow tree pattern is sweet. It looks great mixed with those splashy flower-print pillows. And that bumper! Nice grosgrain ribbon detailing. They must have hired a pro.
M: Nope, they just picked one of the four vibrant collections from Sanook, a new baby bedding label from local designer Julie Freimuth.
P: (withering) This baby is never going to notice me beneath all your finery!
M: Would you just can it?
