Milkmakers Lactation Cookies

milkmakers lactation cookies!

When you were breastfeeding your first babe, milk flowed by the gallon. This time around, your jugs are dry and your little piglet is hungry.

Help your cups runneth over again with Seattle-based Milkmakers, a line of lactation cookies developed by local mom-slash-baker Emily Kane.

The tasty treats include brewer’s yeast — shown to stimulate the production and flow of breast milk — and flax seed, which is rich in omega-3’s to increase the quality of and nutrients in your milk. One or two a day is enough to make a difference, so no worries about blowing your postpartum diet.

It’s the perfect marriage: Baby gets what he needs, and you get dessert.

Milk and cookies have never been so good.

What a find! These cookies saved me while trying to breastfeed - they really improved my milk supply and also was and still is a great snack. Trying to find time to eat sometimes is a struggle and a cookie in the freezer has become very handy......in fact, I often find my husband enjoying them too. Thanks to this local mom/wife/baker etc they have become a part of our daily lives. Thank you!

Milkmakers are MAGIC--they are DELICIOUS and they work!!! I was struggling to keep up with the demands of my growing baby after going back to work. It was really stressful--which wasn't helping my milk supply either. A friend tipped me off to milkmaker cookies and I had a tremendous improvement in my milk production. It only took two days to kick in fully. I have been able to maintain with one cookie a day. I keep them in the freezer--mostly for self control because they are so good!! They are my favorite gift to give to all new moms now!!

Milkmakers make a welcome and generous gift for nursing mom's. They do just what they say they will do - MAKE MILK! and they are beyond delicious. And you don't have to be a nursing mom to enjoy them. They make a thoughtful treat for Grandma and Grandpa when they come to baby sit!

As a Registered Dietitian, I fully endorse milkmakers as a practical, nutritionally sound addition to one's diet. Nursing moms need additional nutrition to keep their energy sustained and to continue to provide the "gold" of breastmilk to their new little ones. As a working mom who breasfed my child until 18 months of age I found milkmakers to be a convenient, great tasting option for me to take with me to work. The ingredients in milkmakers truly did help my milk supply and my tastebuds loved the break that they gave me at work. If you have not tried them yet, make an order today and share them with all your mommy friends. You will not regret it!

I can only rave about Milkmaker cookies! First, they are delicious cookies and they really do help with milk supply. I had troubles with both my daughters in nursing...I tried medication but that option came with bad side effects so I was so grateful for a natural way to boost my milk supply. I've been done nursing for awhile and I miss eating the cookies! I'm tempted to buy an order just to have some good cookies around :)

I am a mom of 4 from 9 to 1. When my son was a newborn and I was trying to manage nursing along with caring for his older sisters, the dog, the house, the husband, etc. my milk supply was getting low. I tried milk makers and not only did I get a yummy breakfast cookie from the freezer as I ran out the door in the morning but I also felt an increase in my supply for my little guy. When I pumped I noticed an increase of an ounce or two! It was a great help when my life was really hectic. ( Not that it isn't now!) . Thank you Milk Makers for helping supply my son with more of his momma's milk!

Tasty and effective! MilkMakers helped boost my milk supply for pumping when I went back to work, which helped reduce my stress. After 6 months of exclusively breast-feeding, it became a point of pride that my son had never had a drop of formula, so I just continued formula-free until weaning, with much thanks to MilkMakers!!

I have given milkmakers cookies to three new moms and they have all raved about them! One of them is pretty confident that her milk supply was boosted after trying them, and she had been struggling. Personally, I think they're delicious, and I love that I'm supporting a local, hardworking mother of three when I buy them. I also love that milkmakers is active in the Seattle area community, backing nonprofits such as Open Arms Perinatal services, which provides low-income women with doula care before, during and after delivery. milkmakers does two things for new moms: treats them to a unique welcome baby gift, and nourishes them. I only wish they had been around when my daughter was born!

I'm expecting my first child in May and can't wait to try milkmakers! I know they taste delicious but I look forward to reaping the benefits they have to offer. I've already told my mom friends about them and they swear by them!

I love MilkMakers cookies!!! They are delicious and helped with my low milk supply after just two cookies! I bought a month supply and kept them in the freezer. When I wanted one they only took a few minutes to soften when sitting out! THANK YOU MILK MAKERS!
