Your mini-me is the master of invention. He’s been chatting up an invisible pal since before he could say his name.
Put that imagination to good use with Jake’s Cool Kids Club Contest: In honor of National Ice Cream Month, the ice cream company is challenging kids to think up a new flavor.
Half-pints can peruse the site for healthy ingredient ideas (hormone-free dairy, organic sugar, dark chocolate, fruits, nuts) and to make sure their submissions are avant-garde.
Each entry scores a Cool Kids Club discount card. Winner takes all with one free scoop per week for a year, plus naming rights to his dream cream. Second-, third-, and fourth-place winners score a free pint every month for a year.
Best part: Jake’s will donate a portion of the proceeds from every scoop of the winning flavor to The Big Kidz Foundation, benefiting inner city youth.
Consider it the cherry on top.
Jake’s Ice Cream, 660 Irwin Street, Inman Park (678-705-7277). For more store locations and further details, go to jakesicecream.com. Contestants must be younger than 12 years. Submit contest entries to info@jakesicecream.com or at any Jake’s Ice Cream location.
