Money Talks

The Fundred Dollar Bill Project

fundred dollar bill project!

You spend more time at Trader Joe’s than following stock trades.

Still, you know the importance of investing in futures — especially those of at-risk children.

Make a meaningful transaction with The Fundred Dollar Bill Project. The national endeavor begun by artist Mel Chin addresses the problem of lead-contaminated soil, which is linked with learning and behavioral disabilities in kids.

To help, attend Atlanta Contemporary Art Center’s Fundred Family Day, where tykes draw their own hundred dollar bills. Chin will pick up the “fundreds” from there and other nationwide sites and deliver an estimated 300 million to Congress, requesting an even exchange for real money to better the affected soil of New Orleans.

That’s market value.

Fundred Family Day, Saturday, 1-4 p.m., at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, 535 Means Street, Westside (404-688-1970 or thecontemporary.org). To download Fundred templates, go to fundred.org.
