Make Your Own Cards

Today’s a holiday. Hooray! (Too bad you’re stuck in a frantic search for activities to keep your kids amused.)

Make time fly with a box of Make Your Own Cards (for ages four and up). Each kit contains twenty cards and envelopes in vibrant colors. Also included: hundreds of pop-outs to decorate the cards, which leave behind stencils great for practicing tracing.

There’s even a glue stick with which to assemble the playful pieces into unique, thoughtful works of art.

Which is something you can all celebrate.

What: The $20 family entrance fee covers breakfast, concerts, Mad Science experiments, green art projects — and helps build a library for a downtown public school.

Jam Up in Harlem
What: Kids Dance Revolution hosts a child-friendly rave, complete with face painting, healthy snacks, contests, and more.
Why: Get into the groove.
