Junior’s got designs on becoming the next Iron Chef. But your humble home is no kitchen stadium.
Let him cut his (pork) chops at Katie’s Cooking School. The new culinary spot in Encino offers a weekly cooking club for toques-in-training.
Students tackle a monthly theme (April is cookies; May will be Mexican food) with new recipes taught each week. With twelve classes to choose from, students can drop in for a makeup session if they miss their regular time. Single classes are also available. But if your budding Batali sticks with it, you’ll save dough by joining the club.
Which is a battle worth winning.
Katie’s Cooking School, 16733 Ventura Boulevard, between Petit Avenue and La Maida Street, Encino (818-377-6200 or katiescookingschool.com).
