Monster Squad

Mutants by Marcel deJure

dress to distress!

Halloween is so cute it’s scary.

Especially when your little monster’s kook flag flies high with the help of Marcel deJure’s one-of-a-kind masks. DeJure appropriately calls these wild works of art mutant masks, and they are born of scraps of fabric and heaps of the Echo Park native’s creative genius.

If you want to take this costume even further into the wild, let your kid be chaperoned by one of Marcel’s mutant dolls. And maybe a mutant bag to complete the look and hold the loot.

There’s nothing to be afraid of.

Available at Monkeyhouse Toys & Art Gallery, 1618 ½ Silver Lake Boulevard, between Berkeley Avenue and Effie Street, Silver Lake (323-662-3437 or monkeyhousetoys.com). To see styles, go to cinnamonrollgang.com.
