Spoke Fun

Velorbis Mobii Trike

mobii bike!

On your mark, get set … go! It’s a race to the playground, and the slickest wheels win.

Off to a raging start is Dirt Bike Brian. Let’s hope he doesn’t hit the skids. No wonder Wagon Wendy’s on his tail — people are really pulling for her.

Hold onto your Huffy: Smoothly appearing at the lead is Velorbis Mobii trike. The Euro innovation just hit our streets and holds up to two tots in a cushioned, harness-equipped carrier box positioned up front. Whee! Everyone’s going wild for the sturdy steel frame hand-built in Denmark and optional weatherproof cover.

Watch as it detours to the grocery store — a smart move, folks; it holds up to 200 pounds of cargo (excluding the driver). At upward of $3,500, this luxury doesn’t come cheap.

But it leaves the competition in the dust.

Trikes like these are specially designed to safely carry children therefore aren’t simply baskets added to a bike. People who cycle a lot often use these as an alternative to cars so they are not only a healthy option but also extremely environmentally friendly with no damaging emissions. Much more cost efficient in the long run than purchasing a car and pumping it full of gas. I have a friend who has a trike and uses it all the time as a convenient way to take the kids and groceries around.

Honestly. It's a bike with a basket. It is unbelievable this product is being peddled by DailyCandy all the while most of us are trying to help revive devastated people in Haiti and other points. Really?! Almost $4000 for a bicycle. I am disappointed.
